The Champomator 3A is a fully automatic IDC (Insulation Displacement Crimp) termination machine.  It's most common use at JIT is to terminate multi-conductor cable leads into DSub IDC connectors.  The computer stores the connection map and automatically detects which wire it has and where it goes in the connector.  It then inserts the wire into the proper place and electrically tests the connection.  After all the wires are inserted, it once again tests the cable to verify all the connections are correct.  The Champomator is not only fast - but most importantly, it is precise and consistent - the hallmark of a quality cable.
